Set up an investigation plan

Conducting thorough investigations does more than simply keep companies out of legal trouble. It also maintains organizational integrity, establishes fair treatment, and fosters a positive work environment.

An investigation is to be launched as soon as a complaint is brought to the attention of the management.

ERIA has developed a specific mehtod to investigate harassment situations and to reach a fair and impartial conlusion.

The Good Practices

1. Carrying out a comprehensive survey of working conditions, focusing on workplace relations, management style and the social atmosphere within the company.

2. Use the ANACT(Agence Nationale d'Amélioration des Conditions de Travail) questionnaire, a comprehensive and recognized tool, to conduct interviews and guarantee impartial questioning.

3. Ask participants to annotate the various questionnaire items according to their experience and feelings. They will also be asked to justify their answers with concrete examples, and to provide evidence or name witnesses if possible.

4. At the end of the investigation, draw a report up, setting out the context, the evidence provided, the verification methodology and the list of people interviewed. Each allegation is then examined in detail, based on the information gathered during the interviews.
